AGS - Automated Grading Systems

AGS grading is a new technology that was brought to market with the innovations in Artificial Intelligence (AI). AGS has proved the ability to provide standard grading practices that meet quality grading transparency initiatives. Some of the key features of an AGS grade is the full transparency that the grades reveal. The grading process involves scanning the card and through the scan the cards condition is revealed and graded. These scans include Sub-Grades of the surface, corners, edges, and centering of the card. In order to get a GEM-MINT (10) grade the card needs to be near flawless. Live Grading Feed

PSA - Professional Sports Authenticator

PSA established in 1991 is the leader in graded cards. With that being said though there process for grading is different than that of AGS. For example to receive a GEM-MINT (10) grade the card needs to meet the following criteria. Attributes include for perfectly sharp corners, sharp focus and full original gloss. A Grade of 10 must be free of staining of any kind, but an allowance may be made for a slight printing imperfection, if it does not impair the overall appeal of the card. The image must be centered on the card within a tolerance not to exceed approximately 55/45 to 60/40 percent on the front, and 75/25 percent on the reverse. Grading Criteria
