Each of the four card edges is isolated and scanned at full resolution across color and etched-luminance passes, surfacing whitening, fraying, dings, and rough cuts that the eye routinely misses.




FRONT: The top and left edges show very minor roughness with a few tiny nicks visible under magnification, while the right and bottom edges are clean and smooth. BACK: The top edge shows very minor roughness, while the other three edges are clean. No chipping, fraying, or significant white spots are present. All visible irregularities are extremely minor and only detectable under magnification, consistent with high-grade modern card edges.
The surface is examined in multiple independent passes over both the color scan and an etched relief view that exaggerates texture, so gloss cannot hide pressure marks.
Vision AI generates an etched defect map of the card face, then weights each detected scratch, print line, and pressure mark by severity and location. No surface markers exceeded the detection threshold on this card.

Surface examination recorded three candidate marks. Grader review (2026-09-13): each location was re-examined at magnification against the printed design. The top-left area shows only the printed logo over the halftone pattern with no linear disruption; the claimed print dot sits within an unbroken halftone rosette with no foreign dot present; the claimed smudge location is clean in the normal view and coincides with the foil numeral stroke boundary, which produces a sheen transition under lifted exposure by design. All three entries were withdrawn on review and the surface subgrade was recalculated to 10.
