Every corner is independently cropped from the source scan and evaluated for whitening, chipping, and softness. 8 of 8 corners returned a confident reading; the weakest corner anchors the composite subgrade.








Measured from each corner's silhouette at grade time: tip angle — a factory-square corner measures 87–93°; deficit — material missing from the tip wedge; roughness — edge waviness in pixels (clean cuts measure under ~2px). The angle is a squareness test, not a ranking — within 87–93° small differences are measurement precision, and a square corner's grade is then set by whitening and wear the angle cannot see. Where the printed design at the boundary is too busy to measure, the corner is graded by the full model consensus instead. In the visual proof: red and blue lines are the card's fitted edges, the yellow ring marks where a perfect tip would be, and the green ring marks where the material actually ends — rings on top of each other mean a geometrically square corner.

Each of the four edges is graded on the official scale from full-resolution strips of the actual scan, front and back.
Each of the four card edges is isolated and scanned at full resolution across color and etched-luminance passes, surfacing whitening, fraying, dings, and rough cuts that the eye routinely misses.




FRONT: All edges appear clean and sharp, with no visible chipping or roughness. BACK: Top and bottom edges are clean, right edge shows very minor roughness, left edge has very faint minor roughness. Grades reflect the worst condition between both sides for each edge: Top (9.9), Right (9.3), Bottom (9.8), Left (9.4).
The surface is examined in multiple independent passes over both the color scan and an etched relief view that exaggerates texture, so gloss cannot hide pressure marks.
